A rare opportunity to step into a newly created Senior Medical Advisor/Medical Manager role with a publicly listed, global biotech at an exciting inflection point of growth.

With close to 1000 employees globally and a strong footprint across China and the USA (manufacturing), the Australian team is lean and high impact. Australian trials are underway across Sydney, Melbourne, Queensland and Western Australia in collaboration with leading hospitals.

This newly created opportunity is the only local medical role reporting into global medical leadership in the USA and China, and acting as the medical lead across Australia, with a dotted line to the Head of the local entity.

The Role
Focused on late-phase development in hematologic malignancies, you will:

  • Act as local medical lead across pivotal and in-house studies
  • Collaborate with global operations and CRO partners to execute trials to GCP standards
  • Support protocol design, amendments and regulatory submissions
  • Engage directly with PIs and study teams on safety, AE/SAE review, dosing approvals and study conduct
  • Interpret and present clinical data, contributing to study reports and publications
  • Represent the company at major congresses
  • Build and maintain relationships with Australian KOLs and the broader haem/onc community
  • Contribute to medical affairs activities including MSL-style engagement, scientific exchange and manuscript preparation
About You
We are seeking a mid-level to senior medical professional ready to step into a broad hybrid clinical development role:
  • MBBS or MD (overseas qualifications accepted)
  • Background in Haematology/Oncology (e.g. CLL, AML, CML, MM, MDS)
  • Relevant pharmaceutical and clinical development experience
  • GCP research experience and understanding of clinical trial execution
  • Confident communicator able to engage investigators and global stakeholders
  • Self-directed, agile and comfortable operating as the sole local medical representative
Why Join?
Promoting a culture of growth you will be exposed to the following:
  • Cutting-edge technology in haematologic malignancies
  • Exposure to global medical leadership and strategy
  • Equity participation potential
  • Genuine opportunity to shape the Australian medical function
  • Growth and development, both personally and professionally
If you are motivated by scientific innovation, global exposure and the opportunity to build something meaningful in the Australian haem/onc landscape, this role offers both impact and career acceleration.
