Our client, an independent federal agency responsible for providing evidence-based pricing advice on pricing for aged care services, is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team until June 2026. The position will be responsible for contributing to the analysis of aged care data to develop pricing models to assess the cost of delivering aged care services. The role requires someone with experience in data analysis and statistical modelling, with the ability to communicate findings clearly.
About the Role:
- Analyse and interpret data collected from age care providers.
- Develop and design robust statistical models to estimate the cost of delivering aged care services and answering policy questions.
- Communicate complex technical findings through well-structured analytical working papers, reports, and presentations.
- Support senior leadership team in presentations on technical issues to external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with broader pricing programs.
- Tertiary qualification in statistics, economics, data science or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis, data modelling and interpretation.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software (Python, R, SAS).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working in or with health or aged care sectors is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
