About the Role
We are working with a federal government team responsible for administering the Minimum Stockholding Requirements (MSR) — a regulatory framework designed to ensure sponsors maintain required on shore stock levels to reduce the risk of medicine shortages. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured compliance work, can interpret legislation, and is confident managing time sensitive case files while engaging with a diverse stakeholder base.
Key Responsibilities In this APS6 position, you will:
- Manage MSR compliance casework, review evidence and monitor sponsor obligations.
- Assess requests for reduced stockholding quantities and provide clear, evidence based recommendations.
- Draft and quality assure briefs, correspondence, minutes, guidance materials, policy papers and website content.
- Analyse shortage risks, market signals and sponsor submissions to support decision making.
- Liaise with internal teams, sponsors, suppliers and industry groups to support proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
- Provide oversight or quality assurance for APS5 level work when required.
- Manage competing priorities and ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements are met.
- You must be an Australian citizen.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret legislation, policy and evidence.
- Confident stakeholder management and the ability to negotiate and resolve issues.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience producing high quality briefs and reports.
- Strong planning and organisational skills to manage multiple case files and statutory deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in compliance environments.
- Proficiency with Excel, TRIM and relevant regulatory or health‑related systems.
- Well documented compliance assessments and recommendations.
- High quality briefs, guidance materials, correspondence and web updates.
- Evidence based analysis of stockholding risks and shortage indicators.
- Accurate stakeholder logs, action tracking and cross team coordination.
