EL1 Project Manager - Strategic Plan Implementation
- 12-month contract, $77 to $88 per hour (plus super)
- Sydney CDB location, Hybrid
Our client is a Federal Government Authority whose primary function is to enable activity based funding for the Australian public hospital services through annual determination of the national efficient price and national efficient cost. They also provide the provision of advice to the Australian government on costing and pricing of aged care services as well as advice on health and aged care matters.
About the Role
The Authority has developed a Strategic Plan that sets an ambitious vision for the future and will guide our work and priorities over the next 5 years. A dedicated project manager is required for a 12 month period to oversee the effective implementation of the plan and embed processes into business as usual (BAU) operations that ensure success into the future. The project manager will work under the direction of the Director of the Policy Development, Alignment and Planning team and will be required to work closely with the Executive Committee.
Your key responsibilities:
- Oversee implementation of the Strategic Plan across the agency and ensure all project goals and timeframes are met.
- Undertake scoping and a gap analysis of current planning reporting processes to identify key areas of action.
- Ensure alignment across branch planning activities, encouraging consistency to the overall strategic direction.
- Facilitate effective change management, embedding new processes into BAU operations.
- Design and implement mechanisms to track progress, report on risks and communicate key milestones to stakeholders.
- Oversee the contract management of consultancy services.
To be considered for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and have the following skills:
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, prioritise project objectives and align with broader strategic direction.
- Proven experience in project management/strategic planning.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in contract management and commonwealth procurement practices.
