About the Role
  • EL1 Policy and Program Manager - Aged Care Accommodation
  • 12-month labour hire (with strong potential to extend) based in Sydney
  • Classification: EL1
This role is pivotal in shaping aged care accommodation policy and program activities under the Aged Care Act. Reporting to the Director, you will lead policy development, manage RAD (Refundable Accommodation Deposit) assessments, and provide expert advice to support compliance and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality responses to aged care accommodation policy and program activities.
  • Assess RAD applications and provide analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Develop ministerial briefs, committee papers, and executive reports.
  • Design and deliver stakeholder education and communication materials.
  • Review policies, procedures, and legislative frameworks to support agency functions.
  • Establish and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic documents such as the Work Program, Corporate Plan, and Annual Report.
 
About You
To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen and demonstrate:
  • Proven experience in policy development and program management within government or health sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex legislation and policy.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under limited direction and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Qualifications in public administration, health policy, or related fields (highly regarded).
