This is a highly visible individual contributor role where you'll take ownership of clinical site contracting activities, working closely with Clinical Operations, Legal, Finance and external partners to drive efficient study start-up and execution. You'll play a key role in navigating complex negotiations, managing contract timelines and ensuring studies are positioned for success.
This position offers the flexibility to be based anywhere in Australia or New Zealand and would suit someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end clinical site contract negotiations and execution activities
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive efficient study start-up timelines
- Provide strategic guidance on site budget negotiations and contracting approaches
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact study delivery
- Track contracting milestones and provide regular updates to project teams
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and consistency
- Act as a subject matter expert for contract and budget-related queries across assigned studies
- Collaborate with CRO partners and investigative sites across multiple regions
- Previous experience in clinical trial contracts, site agreements, study start-up or clinical business operations
- Background gained within a Pharmaceutical company, Biotechnology company or CRO
- Strong understanding of clinical research and the site contracting lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts and budgets with investigative sites
- Ability to manage multiple studies and competing priorities simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working autonomously within a global matrix environment
- Oncology clinical trial experience
- Exposure to global or multi-regional studies
- Experience working across APAC markets
- Knowledge of Fair Market Value and clinical trial budgeting principles
