In this role you will work in a dedicated team in the CNC department responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC machines. You’ll also support the maintenance of injection and blow moulds for high-performance polymer applications. With a growing team, hard-working culture, this is a role were you can have a real impact.
About the role:
- Operate and program CNC milling and turning machines using CAD/CAM software.
- Operate and maintain lathes, milling machines and grinders.
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machinery and assist with toolroom upkeep.
- Perform tool and die design from engineering and product blueprints.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work areas following company safety practices.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and production staff on tool development and process improvement.
- Use initiative, manage time effectively while aligning with team and production priorities.
About you:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or Toolmaker.
- Strong background in CNC programming; experience with 4 – 5 axis CNC machining is preferred.
- Experience operating surface grinders is required.
- Proficient with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks and SolidCAM preferred).
- Solid understanding of G-code and M-code and CNC controllers (FANUC, Mitsubishi, etc.).
- Strong initiative and a good attention to detail.
- Hard working with good teamwork skills.
