About the Role
  • APS6 Project Officer - AURA.
  • Immediate Start - Proposed End Date 30th June 2026, with potential to extend to the end of 2026. 
  • Classification: APS6.
Reporting to the Program Manager, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex health initiatives by providing high‑quality project, governance and operational support.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Supporting end to end project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting
  • Undertaking procurement and contract management activities, including financial tracking and budget support
  • Preparing high quality briefs, reports, correspondence and stakeholder materials
  • Providing secretariat support to committees and expert groups, including agendas, papers and minutes
  • Researching and analysing data and evidence to inform program activities
  • Liaising with stakeholders across government, health and professional bodies
  • Supporting national systems and operational activities related to infection prevention and hand hygiene, as required
About you :
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly on complex or technical issues
  • Experience with procurement, contract management and budget monitoring
  • Well‑developed research, analytical and problem‑solving capability
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of, or interest in, Australia’s health system, patient safety, antimicrobial resistance or public health
Experience in health, public health, digital health or pharmaceutical environments will be highly regarded.
