About the Role
- APS6 Project Officer - Aged Care Infection Prevention and Control
- Immediate Start - Proposed End Date 31st July 2026
- Classification: APS6
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities to deliver infection prevention and control programs on time and within scope.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, reports, and governance artefacts.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support implementation and compliance.
- Contribute to policy development and provide advice on infection control standards.
- Monitor risks, issues, and progress, ensuring alignment with agency objectives.
To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen able to start immediately and commit to a contract until the 31st July 2026. You must also be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in project coordination or program delivery within health or aged care sectors.
- Strong understanding of infection prevention and control principles (highly regarded).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under limited direction and manage competing priorities.
- Qualifications in health, public administration, or project management (desirable).
- Contribute to initiatives that improve safety and quality in aged care.
