About the Role
We are seeking an APS4 Data Officer to join a Business Innovation and Data team supporting a nationally significant regulatory function. Working within a collaborative environment, you will assist in the development of reporting solutions, support improvements to operational data capture and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on data-related processes and reporting tools.
This role offers exposure to business improvement initiatives, data analytics and reporting activities, making it well suited to candidates looking to further develop their data and reporting capabilities within the APS.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, maintenance and enhancement of Power BI reports and dashboards
- Assist with ongoing improvements to operational data collection and management practices
- Analyse data to support business operations and decision making
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on reporting tools and data processes
- Contribute to data quality initiatives and continuous improvement activities
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify and implement reporting solutions
- Understanding of data modelling concepts within Power BI
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Australian Citizenship
- Previous experience working with data, reporting or business intelligence functions
- Exposure to Power BI reporting environments
- Experience supporting business improvement or data quality initiatives
