Our client, a government agency committed to safeguarding public health, is seeking a Senior Chemistry Analyst (APS6 equivalent) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chemist with strong analytical expertise to contribute to compliance testing, regulatory investigations, and international collaborations.


As a Senior Chemistry Analyst, you will lead chemical analysis projects, contribute to method development, and ensure testing complies with quality and accreditation standards.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct, analyse, and report on chemical testing of medicines to verify quality and safety.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of testing projects, including identifying priority products for review.
  • Develop, validate, and review testing methods, protocols, and tools to ensure reliability.
  • Manage calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments, resolving technical issues and preparing reports.
  • Prepare and review high-quality scientific reports, manuals, SOPs, and technical guidelines.
  • Stay current with new testing methods and provide training to laboratory staff.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Chemistry Section.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Degree in Chemistry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of chemistry, analytical techniques, and laboratory testing protocols.
  • Proven experience working in an accredited laboratory (ISO, GMP, or equivalent).
  • Strong ability to analyse complex data, provide objective advice, and deliver high-quality written reports.
  • Familiarity with laboratory quality management systems and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships across teams and stakeholders.
  • Previous experience as an analytical or forensic chemist will be highly regarded.
