Working as part of a close-knit and highly collaborative team, you will play a key role in supporting the development, scale-up and manufacture of a novel nanoparticle-based technology currently progressing through clinical trials and towards commercialisation. 

This is a unique opportunity for an analytical chemist who enjoys variety and wants to work across analytical testing, method development, manufacturing support, quality control and product development in a fast-paced environment. 

 
About the Role

You will support analytical development and characterisation activities across research, manufacturing and quality operations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing, transferring and validating analytical methods to support product development and regulatory programmes 
  • Performing analytical characterisation of polymers, magnetic nanoparticles and related materials. 
  • Conducting routine and non-routine testing to support R&D, manufacturing and batch release activities. 
  • Operating, maintaining, calibrating and qualifying laboratory instrumentation. 
  • Supporting GMP laboratory activities, SOP development and quality system compliance.  
  • Analysing data and preparing technical reports, certificates of analysis and documentation for regulatory submissions. 
  • Coordinating testing activities with external laboratories and service providers. 
  • Contributing across multiple projects as the business transitions from clinical development towards commercialisation and manufacturing scale-up. 
About You

To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and qualifications: 
  • MSc or PhD qualifications in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related discipline. 
  • Experience working within regulated laboratory environments, ideally GMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device settings. 
  • Strong hands-on HPLC experience is essential. 
  • Experience in analytical method development and/or quality control.
  • Strong trouble-shooting skills. 
  • Excellent data interpretation and problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to techniques such as NMR, ICP-MS, ICP-OES will be highly regarded. 
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute across R&D, manufacturing support and quality activities.
