CONTRACT / TEMPORARY RECRUITMENT PROCESS
We recognise that you our clients are experiencing increased pressures from head count freezes and budgetary constraints, but still require effective personnel to ensure success in the competitiveness of today’s marketplace. One viable option is to employ On Q Recruitment contractors to meet your short and long term staffing needs.
Our process includes:
- Pre interviewed candidates to meet your urgent vacancies;
- Candidates original resume forwarded with our interview assessments
- Contractors employed by On Q Recruitment;
- Invoice rate inclusive of all "on costs" (workers compensation, payroll tax, superannuation, public liability and PAYG);
- Invoices issued weekly upon receipt of authorised timesheet by you;
- Option to permanently employ On Q Contractor at any stage during or after the contract.
Fee Structure – Temporary/Contractors
The agreed invoice rate is calculated by:
Contractors Salary + On Costs + Profit Margin = Charge Rate
Our policy at On Q Recruitment is to remunerate our temporary scientists at a fair and equable market rate, ideally on a par with your permanent staff.
Therefore we always openly discuss with you and the contractor the equivalent annual salary. A casual loading is added to the base salary to compensate the candidate for no leave accrual, approximately 7 weeks. The breakdown of this is: annual leave (20 days), public holidays (9 days) and sick leave (5-8 days).
As a result of our policy we have gained a reputation with our contractors that resulted in referrals from other scientists seeking contract employment.
Included in the On Q Recruitment invoice rate is our administration costs, our profit margin and on costs: employers superannuation levy, payroll tax, workers compensation and public liability.
